Menu last updated on: October 24, 2026

The In-N-Out Burger menu has three burgers, french fries, three shake flavors and a list of fountain drinks. A Hamburger costs about $3.85, a Cheeseburger about $4.35 and a Double-Double about $6.25 at typical California prices. In-N-Out Burger does not publish a nationwide price list, so every price on this page is a third-party estimate that changes by state and city. Calories, sodium and allergens come from the company’s own nutrition guide.

Combos

Each combo includes a burger, fries and a medium drink. The three numbered combos follow the three burgers.

ComboPrice
#1 Double-Double Combo$10.65
#2 Cheeseburger Combo$8.80
#3 Hamburger Combo$8.30

A combo costs less than the same three items bought one at a time. The Double-Double, fries and a medium drink add up to $11.35 separately, which makes the #1 Combo $0.70 cheaper. Against $9.45 for the Cheeseburger items bought separately, the #2 Combo saves $0.65, and the #3 Combo saves $0.65 against $8.95.

Burgers

Every burger comes on a toasted bun with lettuce, tomato and spread. The company says its patties are 100% American beef with no additives, fillers or preservatives. Customers choose fresh onions, grilled onions or no onions when they order.

BurgerPriceCalories
Hamburger$3.85360
Cheeseburger$4.35430
Double-Double (two patties, two slices of cheese)$6.25610
Grilled Cheese$3.85n/a

Cheese adds $0.50 to a Hamburger. The second patty and second slice of cheese add $1.90 to a Cheeseburger, which brings the price per patty from $4.35 on the Cheeseburger to $3.13 on the Double-Double. Grilled Cheese costs the same as a Hamburger and skips the meat.

French Fries

In-N-Out Burger cuts its fries by hand from fresh potatoes and fries them in 100% sunflower oil. A serving of French Fries contains 360 calories and 150 mg of sodium.

FriesPrice
French Fries$2.75
Cheese Fries$3.95
Animal Style Fries$5.45
Fries Light or Well-Done$2.75

Cheese Fries cost $1.20 more than plain fries. Animal Style Fries cost $2.70 more and carry two slices of melted cheese, spread and grilled onions.

In-N-Out Shakes are made with real ice cream and come in three flavors:

  • Neapolitan (all three flavors in one cup, off the printed menu): about 590 calories

Drinks

Fountain drinks come in small, medium, large and extra large sizes:

  • Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Cherry Coke, 7UP, Dr. Pepper and Barq’s Root Beer

Secret Menu

The In-N-Out secret menu is a set of orders that staff prepare on request without a printed listing. In-N-Out Burger describes them on its website:

  • Animal Style Burger: Patties cooked in mustard, with pickles, grilled onions and extra spread, about $1.50 extra
  • Protein Style: a burger wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun, at the same price as the base burger
  • 3×3: three patties and three slices of cheese, about $8.40
  • 4×4: four patties and four slices of cheese, about $10.55
  • Flying Dutchman: two patties and two slices of cheese with no bun, about $4.25
  • Mustard Grilled, Grilled Onions and Chopped Chilies: free
  • Whole or sliced chili peppers on request

The company capped burger size at 4×4 in 2005, after a customer ordered a 100×100 in 2004. Each step up costs $2.15 more, from the Double-Double to the 3×3 and from the 3×3 to the 4×4, so the price per patty drops to $2.80 on the 3×3 and $2.64 on the 4×4. The Flying Dutchman costs $2.00 less than a Double-Double.

Nutrition

Protein Style removes the bun and cuts calories on every burger. Official figures come from the In-N-Out Burger nutrition guide.
