Ingredients

The lemonade is made with lemon juice, sugar and water, and Chick-fil-A prepares it fresh each day in the restaurant. Icedream lists whole milk, nonfat milk, sugar, milkfat and nonfat dry milk. Team members hand-spin the two together, and a diet lemonade version can replace the regular one.

Anyone with a dairy allergy should note the milk-based ingredients in Icedream before ordering.

Origin

According to the chain, team members first made the drink on their breaks before the recipe moved to the menu. Icedream follows a recipe from founder Truett Cathy.

Frosted Lemonade Versus Lemonade

A medium Chick-fil-A Lemonade costs $4.49 with 260 calories, so the Frosted Lemonade adds $1.60 and 90 calories. The Frosted Lemonade includes 7 g of fat and 7 g of protein from the Icedream.

Frosted Lemonade Compared With the Milkshakes

Calories separate the frozen drinks more clearly than price does. The Strawberry Milkshake holds 560 calories and the Chocolate Milkshake 600, which places both well above the Frosted Lemonade at 350. Prices stay within about $0.21 across the group, from $5.99 for the Vanilla Milkshake to $6.20 for Cookies & Cream.

A diet version of the lemonade lowers the total further. At launch, a 16 oz Frosted Lemonade held 330 calories, while the diet version held 240.

Frosted Drinks Lineup

The Icedream Cone is priced at $3.15, which sits $2.94 below the Frosted Lemonade, and Frosted Coffee also appears on the menu at $6.09, and Frosted Sodas and Floats joined in January 2026. For the full dessert list, visit the Chick-fil-A menu page.
